I love not always being behind the lens of Steven Laxton’s shots. He always incorporates some form of extreme depth of focus or shows a reflection of what is behind the camera - not only what is infront. “Fight Club” is great, and although the expression is a bit on the dull side “dystopian future” is also beautiful.

| Hopefully Wendy Bevan’s website will be updated soon - I just caught some of these images from MUSE, winter 2008 on a blog and feel obliged to share. The blog entry can be seen here. There is something about telling the story through not only the images - but the distortions and blurs also that turns me on. Something makes me wish to be there - then again they’re pretty spooky - so maybe not.

Some of the images made by Prabuddha have been permanently burned into my mind (like the first on the left) and have defined my obsessive fascination with India (actually, to be honest - with Indian women). In my favorite series of his personal work called “Longing”- he focuses on creating visual journals of memory and experience that delicately and secretly tell the story of change in social India. His spreads for Vogue India are the most beautiful, sensual, and sexual images I have ever seen. Gives me warm shivers…

| The most amazing shots of what happens under, above, and around the sea. Every single shot is captivating and beautiful. Reminds me of Brooke Shields swimming with the ocean animals in “The Blue Lagoon” - oh the dream life.

Sarah Blasko has one of the most beautiful voices. I want the freezing cold, romantic winter to last forever while listening to her (which is funny because she is from The Down Under - Australia). “What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have” is a must-have. |
| Oona has a small collection on Flickr that I constantly look at. Some of these images I’ve stared at for hours and still cant understand why I find them so beautiful. I’m not sure if them make me nostalgic of past desires, if they make me want to move to Antwerp - Belgium, if I want a girlfriend that looks like her model (Merel), or if I’m inspired to attempt to create anything nearly as simple and beautiful. Even though they can be put in a “film, natural” photograph category, the images themselves are so amazing I can only describe them as “Oona.” I’d pay zillions to have them blown up and put on my walls.

Kruder and Dorfmeister (of Austria) is according to anyone who “genre-fies” music as being the epitome of the “Chill” genre. And that they are - very “chill”. The variety (and huge discography) will calmly entertain your ears for hours. Great for work and/or lengthy projects. Pure headphone lovin! |
